Client Description:
The team leader dedicates part of his/her time to the coordination and operational management of the team. It is important to emphasize that this is a part time role, and that the teamleader keeps fulfilling a second part time role as a senior recruitment consultant or a senior business consultant. The teamleader is never hands-off.
The team-leader role differs from the business manager role because it focuses on day to day operations, incident handling and defining daily priorities, whereas the business manager concentrates on financials and tactical decisions with mid-to long term impact.
The teamleader is the relay between the consultants and the business manager level.
The role is only justified if a business manager has more than eight direct reports or in cases where no BM is present.
