Our client, a renowned international organization, is seeking a passionate and strategic Executive Director to lead its efforts during this critical period for Syria and the region.
They support, empower, and strengthen Syrian civil society by promoting human rights, inclusivity, and civil liberties. Their programs create safe spaces for critical thinking and foster local transformations through participatory and innovative initiatives.
As Executive Director, you will be the face and driving force of the organization, responsible for leading operations, building stakeholder relationships, and ensuring program success. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, you will play a central role in strategic planning, team management, and expanding partnerships and funding opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement the organization’s strategic vision and strengthen its image with partners, donors, and stakeholders.
- Oversee operations, programs, and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Develop and manage the annual budget, with financial authority up to €10,000.
- Lead international advocacy and fundraising initiatives.
- Manage teams, maintain professional relationships, and make key personnel decisions.
- Represent the organization at major forums, conferences, and events to promote Syrian civil society values.
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience: At least 5 years in a leadership role, with proven skills in management, advocacy, and team leadership.
- Education: Degree in International Relations, Political Science, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Languages: Fluency in Arabic and English is mandatory; French is required, and Dutch is a plus.
- Skills: Excellent interpersonal, writing, and public speaking skills, with strong proficiency in digital tools (Office 365, ERP).
